How to choose Drop spa color?
Drop Spa is available in four colors: white, grey, black, and matte black. The white surface is practical as it is easier to maintain and water stains are less visible. Dark tones give a more elegant look and highlight the design, but like any dark surface, they require more frequent maintenance. The key is to choose the shade that best suits your taste and maintenance preferences.
How do electric Drop spas work?
The Drop spa is designed to be kept on at all times – simply remove the cover and enjoy. Additional spa insulation and the cover help save electricity.
- If the spa is used at least once a week, it is recommended to maintain a temperature of 37°C with the cover on.
- If not used for an extended period, you can lower the temperature to +10°C.
How many kWh does the Drop spa consume?
The electricity consumption of the Drop Spa depends on several factors, including the model, heating power, usage frequency, and outdoor temperature. However, the average spa daily consumes around 9 kWh. Learn more by checking out the electricity consumption test conducted by Drop.
What is the Drop spa hybrid model?
The heating of the Lampi and Lähde spas can be done with both electricity and wood. They have separate inlets and outlets for the stove, allowing easy switching to wood heating.
- Electric heating ensures that the spa is always ready for use, maintaining the ideal temperature and performing water filtration.
- On the other hand, wood heating offers the opportunity for an atmospheric experience during weekends when there is more time for heating the spa, enjoying the flame-warmed water and the scent of crackling wood in the air.
How is the Drop delivered?
The pool is delivered upright by a lorry to the delivery address provided by the customer or as close to the delivery address as possible. The driver will lower the package with a pallet jack. The pool package is upright on top of a pallet.
The pool package has a freight weight of approximately 135–300 kg, depending on the extra features.
Where should I place the Drop spa?
The spa should be installed on its designated frame on a stable foundation, ensuring the structure's longevity and protecting it from moisture. The foundation must be flat, firm, and horizontal, and it should not deform under the weight of the spa. Recommended materials include concrete, gravel, wood, or other solid surfaces that can support at least 2,500 kg without sinking or shifting. When planning the foundation, the effects of freezing on the ground should also be considered.
Installation options:
- On the surface – the spa can be placed freely on a stable foundation, with the option of choosing a Drop decorative wood finish or matching it to your terrace.
- Embedded in the terrace (fully or partially submerged) – in this case, access to the underside of the spa, where the technical components are located, must be provided.
How is the Drop pool filled with water?
The Drop pool does not need a separate water connection as it can be filled with, for example, a garden hose.
The pool’s capacity is 1,830 L. In practice, only 1,000-1,500 is needed to fill the pool.
How easy is to maintain Drop spa?
Each Drop spa comes with a pool chemical starter kit and is equipped with:
- a filtration system (ensures water cleanliness by filtering out dirt),
- an UV system (neutralizes bacteria and viruses).
Drop spa maintenance recommendations:
- Regularly rinse and replace the filter depending on spa usage frequency.
- Change the water at least 2 a year.
- Regularly add chlorine tablets to the water.
- Always wash yourself before using the spa.
If the spa is used frequently or located in a public space, more frequent maintenance is required.
How is the Drop pool emptied?
Electric heated spas are drained with the help of a pump. When using a wood-fired spa, make sure there are no glowing coals left in the stove. The stove ashes must be cleaned before draining the water from the spa. The water in the stove should be drained using the built-in valve.
Important! If chemicals are added to the spa water for purification, the water must be drained into the sewage system!
N.B.! If you use chemicals in the pool water, the water must be led to the sewage system!
